This was the WORST salon experience! I sent a direct message via instagram to the salon’s account around 5am in the morning enquiring about a hairstyle that I wanted to do. I got a quick response advising that I can come into the salon to get this hairstyle done. Bear in mind that the instagram account is managed by the salon owner. I get to the salon on that very same day and ask for that particular hairstyle. A hairstylist is then assigned to me and then she starts off by unbraiding and then washing my hair. After the wash, I’m advised that the hairpiece that is required for my hairdo isn’t available?!? How, when I specifically asked if I could come in for this hairdo?!? I ended up leaving the salon very unhappy with my natural hair. I also had to pay R270 for the wash and unbraiding lol. I’ve never been inconvenienced like that in my life. I send a direct message to the salon owner once again advising her of my bad experience and all she could say was “sorry mami, they should’ve let you know about the hairpiece upon arrival”. No one wanted to take accountability for the time and money that I’d wasted. I’d never set foot in that salon again, it’s really overhyped for nothing!
